About

Networks, all the way down.

Dr. Yaniv Proselkov speaking at an event

I'm Yaniv Proselkov. My PhD at Cambridge's Institute for Manufacturing asked a simple question about complicated systems: how much do the parts of a network need to know about each other for the whole to stay resilient? The answer — surprisingly little — turned into new AI models for telecoms and supply-chain finance, and a way of thinking I've applied ever since.

Today I work on three fronts. As an AI Engineer at AIOS I build modular AI workflows and educational skill pipelines. As Director of Research at Global Cambridge I write the strategy for how a science-led city produces, funds and retains its startups, synthesising a community of over a thousand founders, investors and academics. And as a co-founder of Venture Scholar Studio I teach entrepreneurship to international students inside real ventures.

Before that: quantitative finance research at Fasanara Capital, a venture associate role via VC Lab, and a six-year doctoral stretch in the Supply Chain AI Lab where I co-authored papers on financial ripple effects, decentralised criticality and autonomous supply chains. I speak and lecture on all of it — in English, and in Chinese with an interpreter.

Outside work I hold a 1st Dan black belt in Shotokan karate and compete in ballroom and Latin dance — the 61st Inter-Varsity Championships in Blackpool, most recently.
